The State of Rhode Island and RIHousing encourage community members to attend this public hearing, taking place Wednesday July 1 beginning at 5:30 pm to learn about the programs and share their input.
Providence, RI – The State of Rhode Island and RIHousing are hosting a public hearing to gather community comments on the draft of the Annual Action Plan and associated Citizens Participation Plan. The draft plan(s) are available for public review between June 17, 2026 and July 17, 2026 and is accessible online at https://housing.ri.gov/data-reports/departmental-reports. The State of Rhode Island’s Annual Action Plan serves as an application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for funding of the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), the National Housing Trust Fund Program (HTF), and Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG). The Annual Action Plan also provides a forum for Rhode Island to summarize the State’s progress and new initiatives in support of the strategic goals identified in the Consolidated Plan. In accordance with the State’s Citizen Participation Plan, the State will hold a public hearing at the time and location listed below:

The State will make reasonable accommodations and services necessary for sensory-impaired and disabled citizens at public meetings. Additionally, translation services may be offered upon request and availability. This meeting offers an important opportunity for residents, advocates, and local leaders to comment on the future of housing and community development in Rhode Island. The State intends to submit this Annual Action Plan to HUD on or after July 20, 2026.
